Paul Lotz Unveils New Works in Laguna Beach
The Bill Mack Gallery in Laguna Beach recently welcomed Paul Lotz, the acclaimed sculptor celebrated for his whimsical blend of fantasy, narrative, and craftsmanship. Known internationally for his ability to merge storytelling with finely detailed bronze sculpture, Lotz continues to build a body of work that resonates with both collectors and casual admirers alike.
At the show, Lotz unveiled three new works that embody the imaginative breadth of his practice:
White Rabbit – Drawing inspiration from both Jefferson Airplane’s iconic song and the timeless tale of Alice in Wonderland, this piece plays with the surreal and psychedelic while honoring the enduring literary character.
Toymaker – A warmly rendered figure of a toymaker presenting toys in hand, it speaks to the magic of creation and the nostalgia of childhood imagination.
In the Beginning Carousel – A masterful bronze that, when viewed as part of the complete set, reveals clever biblical references woven into the composition—a signature example of Lotz’s wit and layered storytelling.
What made the evening particularly special was Lotz’s presence. Guests had the opportunity to hear directly from the artist, gaining insight into how music, literature, and myth continue to inspire his sculptural world. These conversations, paired with the unveiling of new works, created an atmosphere that was equal parts reflective and celebratory.
For those who attended, the show offered more than an exhibition—it was a chance to engage with the whimsical imagination of one of today’s leading fantasy sculptors. Bill Mack Gallery is proud to continue presenting Lotz’s work and looks forward to future opportunities for collectors and fans to experience his artistry firsthand.
